First-time buyers could be in for a treat with Bloor Homes

First-time buyers may be pleased to hear that developer Bloor Homes is having a dedicated weekend for people on the first rung of the property ladder.

At the firm's Cranfield Gardens development in Bedfordshire from September 19th to 20th, it will be holding an open weekend for those purchasing their first property.

Mortgage advice will be on hand from professionals in order to see whether visitors are eligible for the BloorHomesStart2 initiative, in which house hunters could get their hands on one of the one or two bedroom homes for £127,500.

In addition, they will be in with a chance to win £5,000-worth of furniture in the company's prize draw.

A statement from the firm said: "The development of 22 new homes is ideal for first-time buyers and the stunning Bramwell show home is a fine example of the properties on offer."

First-time buyers have been advised by Abbey to buy their new houses before the end of the year when stamp duty on houses between £125,000 and £175,000 will be re-established.
